Microdosing Anticipation☟
I’ve always tried to have something on my calendar to look forward to (professional, personal, or otherwise). It’s proven to be an effective tool in my ability to both adapt to and recover from stressors. There is hope, possibility, and momentum in future thinking. I take comfort in the feeling of moving towards something. While only looking ahead impacts by ability to be present at any given moment, microdosing anticipation has helped me combat the collective sense of loss COVID-19 harbors. I now plan for and look forward to the smallest sources of joy imaginable — going for a run, having coffee over zoom with an old friend, a post-dinner walk with my partner, writing this newsletter. Thinking smaller is a practice of gratitude. Thank you for being here.

Live From the Sou’wester Lodge☟
In March of 2018 I participated in the Sou’wester Artist Residency program. For a week I lived and wrote inside a vintage Ford motor-home turned recording studio. This is where the majority of my first solo release, How on Earth, was written. The experience provided me with the motivation + encouragement to begin releasing music under my own name and I’m so grateful for it. Needless to say I’m overjoyed to be heading back to the Sou’wester on January 16h for my first live stream performance and my first ‘show’ since January 2020. RSVP via Facebook here. Beautiful flyer by Taylor W. Rushing.
Jams & Joints- Dad Grass Guest Mix☟
‘Have a Relax’ is a recent guest mix I put together for the good people over at Dad Grass, the finest purveyors of organic hemp CBD pre-rolled joints. Part of their Jams & Joints series, this playlist features ten country-funk jams from the likes of Jim Ford, Johnny Adams, Dough Sahm and more. Listen via Spotify here.
Felt Time Hits Double Digits☟
Felt Time, my bi-weekly show on Dune Buggy Radio recently celebrated it’s tenth episode! I’m still working out some kinks, but have been having an absolute blast curating the music for each episode for the past five months or so. Putting the show together is one way I’ve been microdosing anticipation. Quick reminder you can tune in live every other Tuesday from 7-9 PST or catch up via archived episodes on my Mixcloud page.
